The GAHTC is a network of scholars committed to expanding the consciousness and reach of global history into the teaching of the History of Architecture, understood in the broadest sense to include the history of cities, landscapes and the other arts. Our goal is to transform architectural history discourse by reshaping its teaching.

The GAHTC is funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by MIT's School of Architecture and Planning and its History Theory and Criticism Program.
